A small 19th century hotel near the Tuileries Gardens. Friendly helpful staff. Light and airy, comfortable rooms, though go for one of the balcony Tuileries view rooms if you can for the incredible views. The area around the hotel can be expensive (you're not far from the Louvre in one direction or the Place de la Concorde in the other),so if you're thinking of eating breakfast out you're probably better off eating at the hotel - the continental breakfasts are very good, and the breakfast room overlooks the Tuileries Gardens.
